Streaming motions and stellar migrations in the Milky Way

Résumé :
We show the effects on the non-axisymmetry of the Milky Way potential.
In addition to moving groups in the solar neighborhood, we report the
recent observational detection of a net outwards stellar flow in the
inner disk. Finally, we show that spiral structure interacting with a
central bar is an effective mechanism for radial mixing in the disk.
This mechanism for stellar migrations could account for both the
observed age-velocity relation and the absence of age-metallicity
relation in the solar neighborhood.
