Properties and evolution of circumstellar disks around Herbig Ae stars:
Grain growth ?

Résumé :
The formation of planetesimals is expected from grain growth in the
protoplanetary disks within the first 10 Myrs of star formation. From
unprecedented high resolution observations of the Herbig Ae system MWC 480
obtained with the BIMA (Berkeley-Illinois-Maryland Association) radio
interferometer at 1.3 mm, I will discuss the possible existence of processed
grains in its disk. Comparing disk models to these observations provide new
insights to disk structure and morphology, especially compared it to their
lower mass counterparts, the disks of T Tauri stars.
