High-Excitation Blobs and isolated massive star formation in the Magellanic Clouds

Résumé :
Accurate physical parameters of newborn massive stars are essential
to understand their formation. The rare class of compact HII regions
in the Magellanic Clouds, called "High-Excitation Blobs" (HEBs),
provide a unique opportunity to obtain these information.
Indeed these small objects (4 to 10", 1 to 3 pc, in diameter)
harbor the youngest massive stars detectable through IR and optical
techniques. I shall present an overview of the results we obtained
recently on two HEBs in the Small Magellanic Cloud. In particular
I shall discuss an interesting case of isolated massive star formation,
a topic actively debated in current massive star formation studies.
