Résumé :
Gujarat earthquake of January 26, 2002 took about 20000 lives and
million dollar loss of properties. The intense shaking of this
earthquake was felt by people living in 70 \% parts of India.
Due to intense shaking, changes were observed on the land, ocean and
atmosphere. In the present talk, the results of the analysis of multi
sensors data (IRS P4 OCM, MSMR, SeaWifs, NOAA) will be presented.
The results show anomalous changes in the ocean, land and
also atmosphere, some of the parameters show changes prior to the main
event and continue for few days after the earthquake.
Efforts will be also made to present the remote sensing activities at
IIT Kanpur and also in the country.
