The Global-HOU conference will be held in Paris (France) at Université Pierre et
Marie Curie (UPMC, 12 rue Cuvier, F-75252 Paris Cedex 05) from
Wednesday 24 July 2002 8.30 am till Monday 29 July 2002 6.00 pm. The
closest tube stations are and
. (Note that
Jussieu tube station, which will be closed during the conference.)
This is on the left bank near the Seine river in Quartier
Latin. Note that Saint-Michel/Cluny or Gare d'Austerlitz are at
walking distances, even though a bit further. The tube network is on
this map. Last, you will find here various information concerning
transportation.
We apologize for this last minute change of the conference location,
due to work performed at IAP and related security reasons.
If you want to propose an oral presentation or a poster, you have to
submit a title and abstract (before 1 June 2002) in the section registration.
The registration fee will be 100 Euros/participant. It includes
lunches and conference proceedings. It may be waived for teachers if
requested (send an email explaining your situation to Global-HOU-2002).
Hotels in very numerous in Paris. Please find here
a selection close to Place Denfert-Rochereau, when indicated you can
get a bargain. Please find here a selection of hotels
closer to UPMC/Mo Jussieu. With public transportation (quite cheap),
Place Denfert-ROchereau is quite close to UPMC. Please note that you
are responsible for your accommodation booking.

A few bars and bistrots in Paris are listed in

use trains, as well as the one of RATP
(click on "international" for information in english) (Paris public

The temperature in Paris in July is generally between 15 to 28
