by Lars Lindberg Christensen (HST/ESO, Germany)

The European and American Hubble Space Telescope has just passed its 12th birthday, and has entered maturity. Four times the observatory has been serviced by Space Shuttle astronauts, and first-class science is pouring from Hubble in ever increasing amounts.
