Van Gogh skies and stars in Auvers-sur-Oise, near Paris

Saturday July 27th

Travel and visits: 20 euros (sandwich + drink provided)

A journey into the history of painting, through a magic old fashioned village; nothing has changed since Vincent Van Gogh painted there his last masterpieces in 1890.

In the Château d?Auvers-sur-Oise, a permanent multimedia exhibition « Voyage au temps des impressionnistes » (travelling to impressionist time), is a not-to-be-missed experience.

Suzanne Faye, teacher resource agent in France for Hands On Universe, and Danièle Michel, teacher of physics in lycée Jacques Decour and a specialist of fine arts, will take us through the village, its very famous places, church, houses and skies painted by Vincent Van Gogh with deep respect to the scientific truth of stars and planets.

You will walk along the streets Van Gogh loved and painted, you will find out Venus track, and climb upstairs to the so famous church and fields.

Practical details about the organisation will be provided during the registration at the Global-HOU-2002 conference.
