NUGA is the abbreviation of NUclei of GAlaxies. The NUGA project is an international collaboration between France, Spain, Italy, USA and Germany (see The NUGA Team) that aims at determing the distribution and dynamics of molecular gas in the innermost (~1kpc) region of the nuclei of active galaxies with the highest available spatial resolution (~30-100pc). The survey has been carried out at the IRAM interferometer, at Plateau de Bure. The goal is to study systematically the different mechanisms of gas fueling into the Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN).
